So. The Holiday Lake 50K is less than 3 days away, and the weather report is COLD. We’re talking a high of 24º, with likely single digits at the race’s 6:30 AM start.
As I pack my bag for race day, I'm taking a few common sayings to heart: “there’s no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing” and “fail to prepare - prepare to fail.”
It's possible there may be some snow and ice on the ground, and low temps are all but guaranteed. Enter some of the fiercest looking run gear I've ever owned.
Hard core, right? It's a start! Much more packing to do in preparation for the Holiday Lake 50K, on what will likely be the coldest day Virginia's seen all winter. Yikes!
